Zigbee wins decisively, and in India it is not close. Zigbee covers the categories that make up most of an Indian installation — modular touch switches, fan regulators, curtain motors, geyser controllers — from brands with local warranty and a service path. Thread's Indian catalogue is sensors, buttons and a few locks, mostly imported.
