Zooz ZEN16 MultiRelay
Key features
ZEN16 provides three independent dry-contact relay outputs for suitable equipment integrations, with optional wall-switch inputs and timed actions. It needs a separate low-voltage or USB supply and a compatible Z-Wave controller. Enquire with your equipment model so the relay interface, hardware revision and radio region can be checked.

Product Description
Add automation to equipment with a suitable control interface
ZEN16 brings independently controlled relay contacts to an existing installation. It is useful where a project calls for switching or pulsing compatible equipment through a hub, while retaining optional physical controls and keeping the automation module away from the user-facing equipment.
What it does
- Three dry-contact outputs can be controlled separately or together. The relay contacts are distinct from the module power supply, an important distinction when planning an interface.
- Optional toggle or momentary switches provide local inputs. Built-in timers can define a timed action for each relay, subject to configuration and hardware revision.
- The current 800LR model adds Z-Wave 800-series communication and Long Range support with a suitable controller. Older ZEN16 revisions use different radio generations and power connectors.

Installation and compatibility
Have an installer review the equipment circuit and its required contact behaviour before connecting anything. The module supply terminals are not a direct mains input. Use only one power source, as the manual requires. Match relay ratings to the actual load, including motor starting demands, and protect the complete circuit appropriately. The documented radio region is not confirmation of compatibility with an Indian-frequency hub.
Planning your automation
For a compatible garage opener, a relay may imitate a simple momentary wall button. Zooz specifically excludes smart openers such as myQ and buttons with electronic displays. A separate position sensor is needed if the automation must know whether the door is open or closed. Preserve the opener’s existing safety systems and test each command locally before enabling remote routines. The quote should identify the exact revision and connected equipment; older and newer ZEN16 specifications should not be mixed.
